The sixth day of the Dehradun- Tubingen Summer School witnessed a lively discussion on urban mobility in the backdrop of modernity and class. The forum opened with a presentation by Professor Sanderein Verstappen on the culture of cycling in Amsterdam and Vienna. She drew a contrast between both the cities and explained how cycling has evolved there. Later, students of both cities discussed the scope of cycling and how to integrate it in local mobility. The participants were then divided into different groups for brainstorming and devising strategies to make cycling a part of urban life in both Dehradun and Tubingen.

The fifth day of the Dehradun- Tubingen Summer School was dedicated to discussing issues around waste management. It began with a presentation by Dr. Soumya Prasad of Dehradun-based Do-No-Trash initiative on the impacts of waste on the flora and fauna of the region. She explained the cycle of waste in the city and what steps can be taken to address the problems around it. A discussion followed where students of both the cities discussed possible interventions at the level of the citizens to bring change. Besides, there were film screening by Sofia Porscha, Leonie and Melissa Froemel, students of the University of Tubingen which showcased how eco-friendly packaging was being accepted by the citizens and how products can be recycled and reused.

The fourth day of the Dehradun- Tubingen School witnessed an elaborate session by Dehradun District Magistrate and Dehradun Smart City CEO Dr. Ashish Srivastav who shared the vision of the administration regarding the Smart City initiative and what the government has planned and executed so far. The forum then opened with a presentation by Professor Karin Polit on the Green Building and Green Housing designs of Tubingen city. Later in the day, Professor Polit and Dr. Lokesh Ohri moderated the discussion the various initiatives that have been planned by the participants from both the cities. The moderators and other faculties shared different theories and case studies with students to work with and improve their interventions.

The third day of the Dehradun- Tubingen Summer School saw students presenting their Breakthrough Initiative (BTI) followed by valuable inputs from the faculties and participants of both the cities. The day opened with a session by Tanvi Deshpande, Marie Curie Research Fellow at the Department of Political Science, South Asia Institute, University of Heidelberg, who spoke on her doctoral thesis which focuses on urban climate governance and water management in the context of smart cities. The forum then opened for participants to discuss their research ideas and elaborate the problems that they feel can be explored in both the cities.

The second day of the Dehradun-Tubingen Summer School saw many lively discussions where issues common to both the cities were also discussed. The day offered an open forum for all participants to discuss their proposed areas of work and interventions and how participants from both the cities could bring their interests together for mutual learning. The faculty shared valuable input for each project and the participants were assigned the task of outlining their research areas in the form of a presentation or video. The day concluded with Eric Schwabach giving an extensive presentation on the issue of the upcoming cyber valley in Tubingen. He elaborated how activists are raising their concerns on the cyber valley and how the government is tackling the issue so far.
